Peel on NPR's All Songs Considered

PeelPeel's debut album was featured on this week's esteemed bi-weekly NPR show All Songs Considered, along with Okkervil River, Architecture in Helsinki and John Vanderslice.

Host Robin Hilton described the album as "bursting with feel-good energy, hooks and crazy-catchy melodies." The segment streams the song "Oxford" and ends with Hilton describing the album as "a collection of perfect, heart-thumping pop songs."

The Octopus Project featured in Indie Music Video Festival

The video for The Octopus Project's song "Music is Happiness," directed by Nick Smith, has been selected as one of 20 videos to be featured in the sixth annual Indie Music Video Festival. The festival will be touring various cities across Canada and the United States throughout 2007, finally stopping in Austin at the Alamo Drafthouse in September.

The Octopus Project on ME TV

ME TelevisionThe Octopus Project will be featured in an upcoming episode of "ME Live!," the live music concert series on Austin's ME (Music & Entertainment) Television network. The episode airs Thursday, July 12th, at 7p.m. and 11p.m. (Central Texas channel 15, digital 577), and features 25 minutes of live footage filmed at the Fun Fun Fun Fest in December 2006. The one-hour episode will be split between The Octopus Project and Washington DC's Dead Meadow (Matador Records).

"ME Live!" is the signature program on ME Television, featuring touring bands, Grammy Award-winning musicians, multi-platinum artists, music legends and the next generation of artists performing live in some of Austin's renowned venues. In addition to rare performance footage, the audience will enjoy exclusive interviews with the featured artists.

Broadcast to Austin and the 40 surrounding cities, ME Television is a 24-hour regional network dedicated to providing television exposure for regional artists as well as the hundreds of touring groups that make up the vibrant Texas live music scene.
