New Octopus Project release out, Yvonne plays for the kids

The Octopus Project + Black Moth Super Rainbow "The House Apples & Eyeballs"The collaborative record The Octopus Project recorded this summer with Pittsburgh's Black Moth Super Rainbow has finally hit stores. The House Apples & Eyeballs CD was released on Halloween by the Chicago label Graveface Records and contains 15 tracks of experimental instrumental wonder. Graveface intends to issue the release on vinyl sometime around Christmas.

In other Octopus Project news, multi-instrumentalist Yvonne Lambert was invited by the Regents School of Austin to visit their music department recently to demonstrate the theremin to children of varying ages. After giving a brief history of the instrument and performing several songs on her two theramins, she allowed the kids some "hands on" time (or in this case, "hands off"). They went nuts for the spooky instrument, and we have a clip of Yvonne playing a Zhou Xuan song below. Enjoy!
